There are a few things that may keep you from receiving a trip request:
- Are you keeping the app in the foreground?
If the app is running in the background you may miss trip requests.
- Are you going online/offline repeatedly to refresh the app?
Many drivers use this as a way to 'refresh' the app, however, this actually does the opposite. When you repeatedly go offline and then online, the Veyo system has to rediscover your location each time you go back online. When you go offline, your location will be removed from our pool of drivers looking for trips. Even if you are the closest driver to a potential trip location, you may not receive the trip request because the system will not see your location. We ask to refrain from doing this to 'refresh' the app.
- Are you driving during our busy hours?
Our busiest times are usually from 7am-10am and from 1pm-5pm. We'll let you know via email when we need drivers on the road. Network connection, location, trip supply, and time of day all affect the frequency of trip offers.
- Are you near a hot spot?
While staying close to a hot spot does not guarantee a trip, it shows where active trips are currently happening. If you are available to take trips, please stay online, head towards a hot spot, and keep your app in the foreground.
