Veyo's protocol on seatbelts is for drivers to wear their seatbelts at all times while operating the vehicle and to encourage passengers to wear theirs. When State law or the contract require passengers to wear seatbelts, the driver will follow those regulations. Drivers are not responsible for managing a passenger's behavior and cannot compel passengers to wear seatbelts.
The driver must request that the passenger wear the seatbelt. It is the passenger's responsibility to wear the seatbelt for the duration of the trip. Drivers may assist a passenger with fastening/unfastening their seatbelt only with express verbal permission of the passenger.
All drivers are required to follow state law regarding transporting children and the use of child/booster seats when transporting children. For more information on child/booster seats, please click here.
